New Bethany Sisters

Our congregation, The Franciscan Hospitaller Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, was founded in 1871 in Lisbon, Portugal. Our founders empowered us 'to treat the little ones as our children, the youth as our brothers and sisters, and the elderly as our parents.'

There are 11 of us sisters living in the Mother Clare Convent at New Bethany. Because we literally live with our "parents," we are available to them 24/7.
